Jewelry for the person that appreciates handmade, classically designed artisan pieces.
You will find many of my pieces are opal with a complementary stone, granulation, texture or a touch of gold to enhance the stone. Many designs come to me most often in the middle of the night, inspired by the stones or my surroundings and nature itself. I love working with color and shape, both of which unexpectedly fill me with fresh design ideas.
Creativity has been important to me since I was a young girl. I recall finding sticks, rocks, and leaves as a child and using them to create pictures, crafting various items from nearly nothing. The first thing I vividly remember making was a crayon with stripes of many different colors.
My first public acknowledgement came in the form of an Art Award for Jewelry at my high school. Since then, I have made many beautiful silversmithed, wire wrapped, fused glass pieces, as well as quilts remarkable for their fine detail and subtle use of vibrant color. In 2018 I was honored with Best in Show for 3D art at the Salida Art and Music Festival.
I am continually taking classes or watching videos to improve my processes and learn new techniques.
