I’m excited to share my latest piece, Golden Threads in Midnight Veil. This pendant features a teardrop-shaped rutile quartz set against a dark onyx base, all framed by a sterling silver bezel with delicate 14k gold beaded details. The quartz displays fine, golden needle-like inclusions that weave through the nearly black stone, creating a pattern that feels both intricate and natural. I kept the metalwork minimal yet textured to complement and elevate the stone’s internal structure without overwhelming it. The contrast between the deep tones of the onyx and quartz and the bright metals draws attention to the subtle complexity within the stone itself. This piece grew from my interest in highlighting the inherent beauty found in natural materials, letting their unique characteristics guide the design from start to finish.
